GENERAL OVERVIEW
Canterbury College is a community of like-minded people who all share a dream of having all students achieve their potential in an inspiring learning environment. Our College offers a rich curriculum, with opportunities for all students to pursue their dreams through flexible pathways to university, further education or employment.
LOCATION
The College is located on the south side of Brisbane in Waterford.

TERTIARY PATHWAYS
The Senior Years at Canterbury College offer all students in Year 10, 11 & 12 a number of pathways for their future career. These pathways include a diverse curriculum offering Queensland Studies Authority subjects for students wishing to gain entry into various tertiary institutions, as well as the opportunity of studying at TAFE or completing a traineeship with one of many local businesses.

SCHOOL FACILITIES
College buildings and grounds incorporate a wireless computer network enabling students to work on laptops inside and outside the classrooms. We offer fully equipped computer labs with desk top computers and modern digital classrooms. The College has an Arts Centre, fully equipped Sports Hall and a new Technology Precinct to ensure students have access to enhanced learning areas every day.

ACADEMIC
In 2005, eight students received an OP 1, placing them in the top 2.37% of students across the state. The outstanding results achieved by the 2005 Canterbury graduates placed the College well above the state average for academic excellence with 28.09% of Canterbury students receiving an OP of between 1 and 5 against a state average of 16.42%. 51.66% of students received an OP of between 1 and 9 against a state average of 35.47% and 69.66% of our students achieved an OP of between 1 and 12 against a state average of only 51.03% |
