Nudgee International College/Nudgee Training Institute, established in 1996 is co-located at an historic campus with St Joseph’s Nudgee College that has a rich history of excellence in education since 1891. The UFP offered by Nudgee Training Institute, on the same campus as, Nudgee International College is a bridging program between secondary school and undergraduate studies at over 100 leading universities in Australia and around the world.

The UFP gives you the skills, confidence and academic grounding needed to successfully enter university level programs in Business, Commerce, IT, Health, Arts and Education.

Guaranteed place at selected universities

Students who achieve the specified standards are guaranteed a place in the first year of selected undergraduate programs at Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University and University of the Sunshine Coast.

Students obtain a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of all modules in Level 1 and 2. An Academic Transcript is issued to all students who have completed Level  3 . Students who complete Level 3 of the GAC are issued with a Cert IV in Foundation Studies (Global Assessment)

Entry requirements

Entry to the Foundation program is determined by English language proficiency and academic performance.

• All applicants must have completed as a minimum, the equivalent of Year 11 (with superior grades) in the Australian school system, and be at least 16 years of age in order to qualify for entry to the course.
  
• English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 is required for direct entry into UFP. Pre-entry English language courses can be arranged at NIC for applicants who do not meet the required level of proficiency.

Pre-entry English language courses are available at Nudgee International College prior to the above entry points.

Pre-entry English language course: AUD340 per week

UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAM- COURSE OUTLINE

Students are required to undertake 4 terms of study (Total up to 40 weeks).

TERM I: 200 hours of classroom study, plus 100 hrs of independent study. Students MUST undertake 5 core modules covering Academic English, Study Skills, Mathematics and Computing

TERM 2: 200 hours of classroom study, plus 100 hrs of independent study. Students MUST undertake 5 core modules covering Academic English, Study Skills, Mathematics, Computing and Communication Skills in Business, Science and Social Science

TERM 3: 200 hours of classroom study, plus 100 hrs of independent study. Students MUST undertake 5 core modules covering Academic English, Social Science, Business and IELTS Preparation Skills

TERM 4: 200-240 hours of classroom study and tutorials, plus 100 hrs of independent study. Students MUST undertake 4 core modules covering Computing, Business, Science and Social Science
